Tracy Lothian, Senior Vice President LNG Mozambique Marketing, ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd
Tracy Lothian has management experience in a variety of energy areas, including retail fuels, chemicals, upstream project development, and gas and power marketing. She has worked with ExxonMobil since 1998, when she joined the company as a retail fuels analyst in Leatherhead, UK; subsequent assignments were located in Europe and later Houston starting in 2011.
In 2006, Tracy moved from the chemicals business into gas and power marketing, where she negotiated gas transportation and processing agreements. She subsequently managed the Europe gas transportation team. In 2009, Tracy was selected to join the newly formed upstream ventures division and worked on developing upstream asset acquisition opportunities.
In 2011, Tracy moved to Houston to manage the business analysis team for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). This role provided an excellent springboard to move into an Executive position in 2015 managing the LNG market development team, with a particular focus on new and emerging markets. During the summer of 2017, Tracy moved to Singapore to lead the creation of a new team responsible for marketing Mozambique Area 4 LNG following ExxonMobil’s entry into the project in December 2017.
Tracy has a passion for connecting people in the LNG to Power value chain and in particular in celebrating the impact women are having in this important global business. In 2016, Tracy launched the LNG Power Play initiative in Perth @LNG17 and subsequent Power Play events have been run in Tokyo and Maputo. During 2018 the series will also include events in Singapore and Washington DC (@WGC). LNG Power Play has a double meaning, it is about the LNG to power value chain – and about powerful women who can make things happen by forming closer ties to support achieving business results.
Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University College London.
